I enjoy the simplicity of this piece. Its not an overly elaborate knot-work by any means but it seems to work for her and it flows with the picture as a whole.
My eye starts at her legs and labia and then moves upward following the rope-work. I think the background being neutral and holes with the lines help give a direction for the eyes to follow.
I'm not sure if this on purpose but I especially like the subtle touch of her hair in a knot. I think its the cherry on this sundae!
